Preparing the Pindang Ribs Soup

  • Fried Onion 2.0 pc
  • Spring Onion 1.0 pc
  • Basil Leaves 5.0 pc
  • Cayenne Pepper, crushed 1.0 pc

This is a traditional dish from Southern Sumatera and its main ingredient is  beef ribs. Make sure you choose ribs that are not too fatty so the sauce doesn't turn out greasy.

Preparation

  1. Preparing the Ribs

    • Heat the water in a pan to a boil, then add the beef ribs.
    • Wait for up to 15 minutes to let the impurities out.
    • Dispose of water and rinse the ribs.
  2. Preparing the Pindang Rib Spices

    • Mix all the ingredients.
  3. Preparing the Pindang Ribs Soup

    • Stir-fry the prepared pindang ribs spices until fragrant.
    • Add the stir-fried spices to the beef ribs stew.
    • Cook until the ribs are tender.
    • Once soft, turn off the heat, then add the tomatoes and cayenne pepper.
    • Fried OnionServe in a bowl and sprinkle the onions leaves, fried onions and basil leaves.
