Galundi Chicken is a traditional dish from Nagari Sulit Air, Solok Regency, West Sumatra, which is also known as Black Chicken Curry or Samba Hitam. The uniqueness of this dish lies in its dark black sauce, which is derived from the use of galundi fruit (Vitex trifolia) as a natural coloring agent.

    • Season chicken thighs with Knorr Lime powder and salt
    • Mix the pureed ingredients, whole spices and coconut milk. Cook it until the texture is close to kalio
    • Add the chicken, cook the sauce until its thicker than the kalio, then add the roasted and mashed galundi. Cook until done

    • Heat the water, add Knorr lime powder and sugar. Mix evenly
    • Pour it into a container of onion slices and let it cool off
    • After cool off, it is ready to serve
